It must have been written in the ‘Manly Man’s Manual to Manliness’ that having a flat stomach was an essential when it referred to ‘The Perfect Man’. Well if this has always evaded you, then you may well be doing a few things that stop you from ever getting there. Here are 7 easy steps that will help you deflate that spare tire around your mid-section and transform you into the beach-ready-body you’ve always wanted.

Step 1 Eat Light At Night

Change the habit of eating a big meal at night into a eating a light meal that is easy to digest. Changing this could be one of the most influential things you do to help you lose your big belly. Eating a big meal before you go to bed bogs down your digestive system. So instead of your body resting when it is sleeping, it works overtime trying to breakdown and digest food. A steak can take 12 to 16 hours to pass through your digestive system… hmmmm and you wonder why you wake up tired in the morning. Eat light at night and you’ll bounce out of bed in the morning with a lot more energy. Plus, when you are sleeping your body will breakdown a lot of dormant fatty tissue and help expel toxicity within your system.

Step 2 Cut Out The White Stuff

Reduce or if you can, eliminate white bread, pasta and rice. I know these are staple foods here in most countries, especially rice.  But from a nutritional standpoint they really give your body zero nourishment. Try my 30-Day challenge of halving, or if you can, stop eating these foods completely for a period of 30 days and you’ll be amazed at the results.

Step 3 Replace Cooked Food With Raw Food

Cooking depletes and kills the living enzymes in food. Food that’s is cooked or processed is devoid of life. We are a living organism and our bodies works so much better and so much more efficiently when we give it food that is raw, natural and uncooked. When we eat food that is raw and alive, it transfers its energy into us. Living Foods give our living body more energy, more nourishment and more LIFE.

Step 4 Think Before You Drink

Cut down your on intake of sugar-laden drinks, switch to something less loaded with calories, or even consider giving them up for a while, if not completely.

Due to the amount of brainwashing we receive through advertisements, our minds automatically think of reaching for a soft drink or soda when we need to quench our thirst. These beverages are laden with so much sugar that it gives you a sugar high, which your body will prioritize to breakdown and use this quick burning fuel, instead of burning Fat. The sugar not used up for fuel is converted to fat and stored in your body. Now, just because it says it’s a ‘Diet Soda’ or ‘Soda Light’, it’s okay.  Don’t fall for it.  A lot of these companies try to give you the illusion that you’ll lose weight by drinking their beverage. Nothing could be further from the truth. I know a lady who put on over fifty pounds in one-and-a-half years from drinking 2 liters of a diet cola or cola lite every day.

Also lay off the beer, they don’t call it a beer belly for nothing. Choose your beverage wisely. If you’re thirsty, choose water or an even healthier alternative – freshly extracted juice from a juice machine. It tastes good, it quenches your thirst and it’s extremely nourishing.

Tip: If you’re a coffee drinker change to green tea for a month and see the difference.

Step 5 Lower Your Fat Intake

Most people’s standard diet contains food with a tremendous amount of fat in it. Bad Fat! The worst culprit is from a really fat animal… the PIG. The famous Philippine ‘Lechon’ has got to be the most popular and favorite of all Filipino dishes, but if you eat it regularly, you will unfortunately soon start resembling one. Eating this fat, makes you fat.  Plus combine it with the Philippine sweet tooth and you have a recipe for not just a big belly, but also heart disease, diabetes and even more degenerative diseases. I know this can be a tough one, especially at fiestas and celebrations. But believe me, if you want lose the belly, then this is one fat you should do without.  Oink Oink!!!

Step 6 Get Moving!

You may think sit-ups are the key to losing your belly fat, however you could be wrong. Sit-ups will strengthen your abdominal muscles but will not reduce belly fat. The key to getting rid of your fat is to burn more calories than you take in. Combining all of the above tips together with cardio training and core strengthening exercises does exactly that.

If you want to get rid of your belly then you’ve got to get the heart rate up with some form of aerobic exercise. Get moving! Get up off that sofa and go for a walk, a run, take a swim, a bike ride, or shoot some hoops. Find something you like to do, do it and keep doing it.

Now, if you want that firm toned midsection, then you must exercise and strengthen all your core muscles, not just your abs. Abdominal exercises are great, but it is also important to exercise the biggest muscles in your body your legs and back.  This also helps to burn more calories than exercising just your abs. It also helps improve your posture helping you to naturally keep your stomach in.

Try and exercise a minimum of 20 minutes 3 times a week.

Step 7 Write It Down

I’ve revealed to you the first 6 steps to achieving a flat belly. Now,  this last step is probably one of the most important as it will help drive you to the road to success and get you through those hard, tempting times when you want to give up. Everything starts with a dream. Write down your goal and a time frame of when of you want to achieve it by. Commit. Visualize and Believe.

In addition, it is important to track your success. Always mark down your weight and measurements before, during and after you finish your desired goal and time frame. Taking note of this throughout the program will help motivate and energize you along the way.

And remember, along the way if you do get off track, don’t be too hard on yourself. Just make sure you get back in control, and back on the track. You can do it!  See you at the beach ;-)

Not everyone would salivate at the idea of a green smoothie. If you’re one of these people then you’re missing out on a fast track ticket to great health! This gloriously green smoothie is actually a simple blend of assorted fruits with green vegetables added to it. If your Mama never told you to eat your greens, then you’re in for a BIG surprise.

Greens are essentially nature’s most potent ingredient offered to heal our body.

Green smoothies are delicious, nutritious and by far the fastest and easiest way to jumpstart yourself to a whole new healthy revitalized YOU!

1) Fresh food

Problem:

We usually don’t consume the amount of greens we need on a daily basis. Normally, we cook or make them into salads. Heat kills a large amount of live nutrients so the more greens are cooked, the more nutritional value it has as a cardboard! The same way goes for the pasteurized 100% fruit juices seen on your store shelf and most green supplements which are both prepared in high temperature. Green supplements can give some added nutrients if you can’t cover the variety of greens, but it’s not enough to replace the real thing. Salad is a healthier option, but dark greens are not so palatable. Tendency is we cover it with oil and creamy dressing. But there is just so much you eat before you get tired of the flavors. Some only eat the sweet greens such as Romanian lettuce which contain fewer nutrients than the dark greens. The less delicious the taste the more vital nutrients it contains.

Solution:

Green smoothies;  Blending your favorite fruits can easily cover the taste of quite a large amount of greens. The smooth texture is also a given benefit because it helps the body to absorb it quickly without exerting extra energy to digest it.

2) Virgin source of protein and nutrients

This power health drink can pass off as a meal on its own. Depending on your imagination with fruits and greens it can cover the A to Z of minerals and vitamins. You may ask “Don’t you need meat for protein?” Let me ask you, “Do powerful mammals like Oxen, Horses, Elephants and Gorillas eat meat to develop its muscles?” Green vegetables give us all the essential amino acids that our body turns into protein, just like any other animal. Meat is an overdose of second hand protein packed with high acids and animal toxins. Eating too much meat makes you fat easily and can lead to various liver and kidney diseases.

3) Alkalinity

As said earlier eating meat contaminates the body with acids. High acids deteriorates our blood cells, drains the body of energy, and pretty much is the route cause of our sicknesses. Greens and fruits are the strongest food sources of alkalinity and neutralize the acids in the blood. To give you an idea of how much alkaline food we should have each meal is around 80% alkaline based.

4) Antioxidants

Ever wonder why no matter how much you diet and exercise, you can’t seem to remove those extra folds? It’s because your body protects itself from excess toxins by wrapping fatty cells around it. Besides gaining weight, severe amount of toxins can lead to top silent killers such as heart diseases, diabetes and cancer. Let’s prevent ourselves from being part of these statistics!

Antioxidants in green smoothies such as Carotenoids – Lycopene, Lutein, Beta-Carotene, Vitamin E and C, selenium, anthocyanins and many more. They are like magnets that collect toxins in our body and bring them down to our human sewage, the digestive tracks; where the fiber of the green sweeps it clean out of our system.

Being green helps you loose weight. It helps you boost the immune system, keeps bones and muscles stronger, aids digestion. Being green helps you have better mental clarity and high energy levels.

5) Increased Sex Drive

Reducing junk food and replacing it with healthy alternatives removes preservatives, refined salt and sugar, and other chemical downers that lower your sex drive. So far studies on this have shown that the majority of people that have replaced at least one of their meals a day with one of me green smoothie recipes have said that their libido has dramatically increased. A healthy body results to stronger cardiac and reproductive systems plus better regulations of hormones.  A healthier body, better moods, added confidence and great stamina in the sack is what you can expect from green smoothies.

Jump Start to health

Adding a green smoothie to your diet is an easy way to jump start your health. Take that step and replace one coffee (or beer or wine) for something this natural and you’ll find your body slowly craving for more. You’ll eventually unfold to healthier habits instead and spare yourself those forced guilt techniques. Share it with your family and friends. Live a refreshing green life! Cheers!

The food we eat plays a major key as to how our body performs and holds fat. The majority of food we eat is processed or cooked so much that all the living enzymes inside the food are dead I call this type of food ‘Empty Foods’. We human-beings are living organisms and we need living enzymes just for our body’s daily functioning. When we are young we have a reservoir of enzymes, this dries out over time when we don’t replenish it from the food we eat.  When we don’t get enough live enzymes from our diet our pancreas kicks into action and makes them for us. This, however, is not the main function of the pancreas, its main purpose is to produce insulin for the body. In performing this secondary function it becomes overworked and doesn’t perform as well as it should. After eating years of cooked food, the pancreas becomes overburdened and doesn’t do its functions properly. The body starts to break down and we start our downward spiral to obesity and disease. Living food repairs and restores the cells that are damaged and also builds new cells. In order to let the pancreas do its main function, you need to be getting these living enzymes from your food which can be found in fresh (uncooked) fruits and vegetables.

If the above sounds like you at all and you’re not really into eating a lot of salads and vegetables, then juicing may be a great option for you. Now, I’m not meaning the bottled or carton juices you can buy from the supermarket. Read the label you’ll see that they are full of sugar, preservatives and other substances that are hard to pronounce. These juices are also pasteurized which kills all the living enzymes.

Fresh juicing from a juice extractor machine is a super fast way of getting a concentrated hit of living enzymes. Once fruits and vegetables are juiced and directly consumed they are transformed into a powerfully healing super food in an easy-to-drink and delicious liquid form. You get all the essential vitamins, minerals, nutrients and live enzymes in an extremely powerful and healthy glass that is an absolute pleasure to drink. All the healing benefits of this great tasting beverage are quickly and easily absorbed into your body and require virtually no energy to digest.

These juice recipes are some of my personal favorites and I encourage you and your family to try them. Kids love fresh Juice too.
